Might be worth updating the "boilerplate" to include settings for Aero and Video, since they seem critical to 3.7.10 onwards.

Server Information
Hardware: Samsung X60plus Core 2 Duo T7400, 2GB RAM
Graphic card and driver version: ATI Mobility Radeon x1700 (ATI WDDM 7.14.10.8333), DX3D mode
Operating system: Vista Enterprise 32
Nebula Hardware: None, playing back recordings from other systems
To confirm I see this with slightly different hardware and driver; common to Radeon cards, perhaps?
Quite inconvenient for me as the picture is rather too dark.

The picture settings don't work on my pvr either (intel gme graphics + win2k) so, it would appear this iis a dx3d issue, rather than vista or ati.
