Analogue VCR Image Squeezed

Having had problems with the previous version of DigiTV which
created a 16:9 image from a 4:3 VCR analogue,I am now getting the
4:3 image squeezed. Any solutions you can think of or is it another bug
Nebula have to fix?
This is happening with the new HD version.

Ok, can you please let me know what analogue capture settings you are using in DigiTV (bit rates, frame rate, etc) and I'll look into it.

Bitrate: 3.5 Bits/S
Aspect ratio: 4:3 25FPS

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

Ok, it looks like there is still a problem with the headers being set incorrectly for some recording resolutions/modes.

However, there is a workaround that you can use that appears to work with the settings you are using: set the aspect ratio to 16:9 in the analogue settings, even though you are capturing 4:3 video - the headers will then be set to 4:3 like you want. Wink

Alternatively, like before, you can run the recordings through tools such as VideoReDo or DVDPatcher to rewrite the MPEG video headers to the desired values.

I'll raise the issue with Nebula again, though it wouldn't hurt for you to also report it directly to them too.
