BuggerDuring the transfer from one PC case to another of my PC components I somehow managed to knock off a capacitor(?) from my DigiTV PCI card. Like I've already said many times since the event, bugger.
Anyhoo, if any of you folks are in need of a digiTV PCI card remote receiver I've got one going spare.
(Still got a USB based DigiTV device so all is not lost; just down a tuner.)

Try angela@nebula-media.com Nebula may still have a repair service.
Failing that, if it's only a cap I may be able to 'stick' it back on for you.
Have you any pictures?

I'll give that email a try.
Anyhoo here's a crap pic of the card and the bit that was knocked off.

That looks like just a small electrolytic cap, I'm surprised the board has stopped working
Has the board been damaged? (is there any copper or gold coloured stuff on the cap?)

As far as I can see that is the only damage although it's possible it's not; can't see any other though. Haven't tried to see if the board still works, simply thought that without that cap it wouldn't. Must admit I'm worried that without that cap the board could maybe cause damage to other parts of my PC. Not in a hurry to find out as the rest of the computer is largely only a year old.
No copper or gold colour on the cap. It's simply a small cap with a bit of plastic at the bottom and the two wire connection. Well, what's left of the wire.
Anyhoo, I've sent an email to nebula asking if they still repair digitv cards and have including the pic above. No idea how often they check that account but obviously if I do get a reply I'll let you folks know.
