DVB scannercan anyone point me in the direction of a software tool to scan for channels?
primarly to find what the real PIDs are for a channel that is hidden behind an MHEG screen ?
i'm sure i've seen one talked about before, but can't remember what it was called.

does this work with BDA drivers installed ?
or do you need to use the WDM drivers ?
i tried it with BDA drivers and chose Nebula from the list of devices but it said it couldn't initialise with it.

You using a PCI or USB card? Ive had it working using using the WDM drivers although it can be a little unstable. Somtime i find i need to open digiTV on the multiplex i wanna scan, send it to tray and then launch TSReader

AFAIK, TSReader Lite will only work with the first device it finds, usually the DigiTV PCI card (assuming you have WDM drivers installed for both).
Success often depends on the version of TSReader Lite you are using too, particularly if you have a newer PCI card.
If you are using the BDA drivers, you need to select the BDA plugin - but note that this plugin was not developed by the TSReader people, and appears to be a bit on the flakey side at times.
Alternatively, you can use the DigiTV WDM drivers, use my TS Capture tool to record a chunk of data to a file, then use the TSReader Lite file loading source to read in the transport stream file, OR use the UDP streaming function of the TS Capture Tool to stream to the TSReader Lite UDP capture plugin.
Lots of options.

might not need to bother with tsreader.
if i tune to the channel and press "i", then it appears to give me all the info that i need.. ie Video/Audio PID's and PCR's
