moving pci card to a amd system, what min speed amd to do HD

Howdy guys,

until now i've been using an intel based box for my pci card. I'm about to build an amd system, and am wondering what speed amd i need.

Motherboard is a 939 socket, so its a athlon 64 or 64 fx i'm looking at.

does the current nebula software support 64 bit?

Unless you need like 4 or 5 Gb of RAM, stick with Windows XP 32-bit, don't bother with 64-bit because you won't see any benefit.

So if you DO want to go to XP64, you'll have to have a USB unit because there's no 64-bit drivers for the PCI card.

Now as far as watching HD goes, any CPU you buy new today will run HD without a problem, although as always, the faster the processor, the more you have left for other tasks (perhaps a dual-core would be good if you want to watch HD AND browse the net/compress video/burn DVDs at the same time).
