Wrong TransmitterHi,
I recently got a new freeview aerial installed. Now when I do an automatic scan it only picks up channels from the rowridge transmitter (mainly the BBC channels). The aerial guy said this was because they're on a lower frequency? The Midhurst transmitter is much closer to me. The aerial guy said he unplugged the aerial cable untill a certain % in the scan to avoid it picking up channels on the lower frequency.
Is there anyway to manual tune and get the channels from the Midhurst transmitter?
Thanks

yes, you can just scan the specific frequencies you want.

Well I specified the 6 Midhurst frequencies. I now only get the BBC channels from the Rowridge transmitter, nothing from the Midhurst transmitter

Can't you just pick the best six mpx's?
Did you check the 'scan these frequencies only' box?
BTW sorry, I think I moved you by mistake

Yes I did tick the scan these frequencies only box. I'm not sure how I would go about picking the best six multiplexes?

Sorry, I've just re-read your post.
The aerial installer has aimed you antenna at Rowridge, now you're not getting channels fron Midhurst.
Would you normally expect to get DVB-T signals from Midhurst? If so, he's aimed the aerial at the wrong transmitter!
Are you somewhere between the two transmitters (portsmouth, chichester or southdowns) ? It's possible that your old aerial was picking up one of them from the back of the aerial and your new aerial has better front/back ratio so is (correctly) rejecting the signal from the rear.
